When I wake up and look at my phone, the first thing I check is Vulture's Cinematrix. It's a movie brain teaser/grid game that tests your knowledge of cinema.
Oftentimes, there's a theme, it could be football related, country related, state related โ there's always a reason why certain actors and actresses get picked along with various categories.
I love it. And it's led to some healthy family competition. We have a text chain going where we share our grids and then discuss some of the better choices. When Nicolas Cage is an option, it feels like an international holiday.
In my opinion, it's a good way to get your brain rocking as you start your day, and it's led to a lot of enjoyable debate and discussion. Sometimes we've decided to watch movies we've long forgotten about because Cinematrix pulled them back into our collective consciousness.
The cool thing is Cinematrix isn't the only movie game (just search for them and there are so many others, it just happens to be the highest-quality movie game I found).
So check them out, enjoy, and make them a bonding experience!
